The plot year: January

Inspired by the transition shots in Carol Klein’s Life in a Cottage Garden, I’ve decided to chose a few key angles from which to photograph our plot at TBA to chart how it develops over the year.

So, here goes for January…  I’ve chosen 7 shots:

  1. view from the bottom of the plot
  2. herb and cut flower garden
  3. bank and living seat
  4. small beds
  5. main large beds
  6. pond and garden
  7. view from the top of the plot

We’re particularly organised for this time of year by our standards – beds are weed-free and manured, overwintering crops have been in for a few months and we’ve already started off early seeds at home.

Over the last few years we’ve been tackling deep-set perrenial weeds and trying to give the plot some shape by adding good paths, a shed, greenhouse, pond and garden etc. All while still trying to cultivate some ground in the meantime!

Lots to look forward to this year…

We have even got a picher of the pond into the gardenersworld magazine which we think is grate. We need more gardeners to help get the allotment going I love going to the allotment every day . I have finished work with defness and i needed somthing to do with my time and my wife told me to go and get an allotment so i did. And now i have been on my allotment for three years now .
